Tangled audio commentary

As a response to the crowds sadness over the absence of an audio commentary on the Tangled dvd, 23 animators who worked on Tangled got together and made an audio commentary of their own.

I had so much fun watching this and obviously they had a lot of fun making it too. There are a lot of funny stories about the production process, but there's also some interesting intell on the approach of the animators, and the animation directors too.
It sounds like such an educative experience, I wish I could have been a part of it, but for now this is the closest we can get!

You can find the audio commentary and explanations of how to watch here:

Here's some stuff I picked up from it (but this is far from all of it! You should really listen to it yourself, it's most definitely worth your time!

"Tilt - rhythm - twist", is apparently something Glenn Keane used to say often during production.

Something Glenn Keane made them do was push poses to get everything out of the character, create appeal and story telling poses.

Glenn Keane was constantly thinking about improving shots, even if they already worked, he would still look for possible improvements.

Eye lashes help expression of the face.

It is good to tone animation back, to see the emotion, instead of watching a whole lot of animation in which emotion and internal thoughts would get lost in translation.
