Tekkon Kinkreet & Spirited Away

I know there are people who just don't like anime, but if they ever decide to give an anime movie a chance I'd most heartily recommend Tekkon Kinkreet and Spirited Away.

Spirited Away
Spirited Away is one of the better known anime movies, one of my own favorites too! It's about a lost girl who lands in the realm of the gods by accident. Her parents are turned into pigs because of their gluttony and Chihiro (the girl) needs to work to not be sent away. In the meantime she tries to figure out a way to save her parents.
Made by Studio Ghibli, this is an amazing journey in a Japanese dreamworld that is sure to charm you. Studio Ghibli has also made other amazing movies, some of my favorites by them are: Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro and Grave of the Fireflies (if you decide to watch that last one, be prepared to cry).

Tekkon Kinkreet
I believe this movie is a lot less known than Spirited Away, but it doesn't have any reason to be! The animations and backgrounds are absolutely brilliant. The style of the characters might take some getting used to, it's a little different, but hopefully you'll see their beauty!
Tekkon Kinkreet is about two orphan street boys, who are called The Cats. One is Kuro (Black), tough and smart, the other is Shiro (White), childish and innocent. Together they rule the street of Treasure Town. They take on thugs, religious fanatics and they try to prevent politicians from turning their city into an amusement park.
